Deep pressure in massage provides relief for chronic muscle tension and allows the release of the deeper layers of muscle. Much like Swedish massage, Deep Tissue massage reduces stress hormone levels (Journal of Clinical Psychiatry) in the body. ***Deep Tissue Therapy is not recommended for individuals who take blood thinners or are on an aspirin regiment, and is not recommended for pregnant women.
